Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting of Gurnard Electors held at the Village Hall in Worsley Road, Gurnard on Wednesday 26 April 2023 at 6.30 pm.
PRESENT: Councillors Fuller (Chair), Acton, Bustin, Franklin, Nolan and Williams
6 members of the public were present.
The Chairman opened
- Apologies were received from Cllr Wood, who was detained at work, and Cllr Bugden who was on holiday. Cllr Jacobs sent apologies after the meeting.
- The minutes of the last meeting held on 27 April 2022 were taken as read, approved as a correct record.
- The Chairman provided copies of his report to all attendees, a copy of which is attached, highlighting the achievements of the Parish Council in the last 12 months.
- The Isle of Wight Councillor, Paul Fuller, had circulated his Annual Report to members. There were no questions arising.
- The Chairman opened the meeting to members of the public for any other comments or questions to be raised. Main topics discussed included:
- Gurnard Cliff Woods (formerly part of Spencers wood) – Concern over ownership, litter, fire risk, tree removal.
- Progress on coastal footpath between Gurnard and Thorness.
The meeting closed at 7.53 pm.
Following the meeting refreshments were served.
