Full 16. Advertising Banners
I believe this initiative (putting some funding towards banners) could be highly beneficial for the council, and I would be grateful if the following points could be shared and considered during the meeting:
- High Local Visibility
Banners placed in key locations around the community catch the attention of passers-by, including those who may not regularly use social media or check the council website. - Reaches a Wider Audience
Not all residents are online—particularly older members of the community. Banners help ensure important events are communicated across all age groups and demographics. - Constant Presence
Unlike digital posts, which can quickly be missed or buried in feeds, banners offer a 24/7 presence. When placed strategically, they act as a continuous reminder in the lead-up to events. - Professional and Community-Focused Image
Branded banners contribute to a positive and proactive council image. They help to create a sense of occasion and show our commitment to community engagement. - Increases Footfall
Clear, eye-catching banners often result in improved attendance, particularly from local foot traffic. Greater visibility can lead to greater participation.
Thank you for your understanding, and I appreciate your support in ensuring these points are put forward during the meeting.
Best regards,
Katie
