Overgrown grass verge which is covering the yellow lines painted on the road. The hedge actually belongs to the IOW council as this land was compulsorily purchased by the IOW council, probably in the 60s, to install a pedestrian pavement but the pavement was never constructed. Since then it has been assumed that hedgecutting is down to the landowner of the field. Perhaps you could check the records. The previous landowner, now deceased, informed me when I questioned her about cutting the hedge.
