There are four of the obnoxious pink electric scooters abandoned on the pavement at the junction of Cockleton Lane and the entrance to Gurnard Pines. This has never been an authorised location for these things but since Voi took over the contract they are popping up all over the place, usually dumped blocking the footpath as in this case. This is a dangerous place to dump them, it is the end of ant oaveon Cockleton Lane, at a roundabout, at the entrance to a local community field plus it is the safest location for the local bus to pick up and set down passengers. The Isle of Wight Council need to get to grips with Voi about the way their equipment is being placed. At least Beryl, the previous operator, were very good at recovering dumped scooters but Voi don’t seem to care or have any system in place to get them back to where they belong, plus no one seems to know where they should be. Since the Council have foisted these abominations on us the least they can do is make sure the operator complies with the rules.
